Who they are
A hospitality business operating hotel-related services in the MENA region.
Its existing technology environment included a legacy hotel-management system and separate operational requirements that increasingly needed to work as one connected ecosystem.
The problem
Replacing one application would not solve the underlying problem.
Reservations, hotel operations, commercial activity and future digital channels needed a common operational foundation. Continuing to treat each requirement as a standalone system would create more integration work and more fragmented data over time.
Our approach
Sahla approached the engagement as an operating-platform problem rather than a software replacement.
The team reviewed the existing environment, mapped the required hotel-management workflows and demonstrated a future-state platform architecture using Odoo and hospitality-specific functionality.
The objective was to establish a system that could eventually support hotel operations, commercial workflows and future integrations from the same foundation.
The results
The client moved from evaluating a narrow system replacement toward a broader, structured platform direction.
A working hotel-management direction was demonstrated, giving stakeholders a concrete model for how operations could be consolidated rather than continuing to add isolated tools.
Honest caveats
A hospitality platform has operational depth that is easy to underestimate.
Front desk, reservations, room inventory, payments, channel management and accounting all affect each other. The project should therefore be described as platform design and implementation work unless a full production cutover has been explicitly verified.
